The generous farmers at the Ballard Sunday Farmers Market donate fresh produce for our hungry neighbors. Our Market Gleaning project is looking for volunteers to help collect the produce from these generous farmers every Sunday for delivery to the Ballard Food Bank. If you are interested in helping with the gleaning project on Sundays, 1:30pm, contact Jill. We are looking for 1-2 volunteers to sign up each week (in addition to a lead). As always, you can sign up on the Gleaning Google Spreadsheet.
The Ballard Alliance put together a program called Farm it Forward, which allows people to donate funds for procuring produce from farmers market venders to then donate to the food bank. We are now assisting with the Farm it Forward program to collect food for the food bank, rather than our traditional gleaning. To donate visit the Ballard Alliance Website.

You can reserve specific tools at our website, or you can make a general appointment to browse our selection.
We’ll also accept your donations of used tools, and always need volunteers to support our mission.
