U.W. Botanic Gardens Class: Mulch Matters – Mar 6

8:30am – 12pm
Mulch Matters

Why does mulch matter? What makes good mulch? What are the different types of mulch? How and when to use mulch? We’ll answer these questions and more with horticultural consultant Christina Pfeiffer. The right mulch can make pulling weeds easier, decrease dependence on fertilizers, and improve the soil. Learning to use the right kind of mulch for the job and applying it correctly offers multiple benefits, and helps avoid common pitfalls of faulty applications.
