Tilth Alliance Class: Raise City Goats – Apr 15
Learn what it takes to keep miniature goats for milk or fiber. Jennie Grant, author of City Goats and founder of the Goat Justice League, will show you around her goat yard so you can see the gregarious “kids” in action! Participants will leave the class with the basic information needed to decide if being an urban goat-herder is right for you.In this class you will learn about:

· Miniature goat breeds to choose from
· City regulations, including yard and shelter requirements
· Feeding, breeding and milking your goats
· Keeping your herd healthy

This introductory class includes show-and-tell, lecture and an opportunity to meet some city goats face-to-face. Much of this class will be held outside, so please dress for the weather and wear shoes appropriate for a tour through the goat yard.
