Go to Seattle Tilth’s May Edible Plant Sale and take advantage of the largest selection of organically, sustainably and locally grown vegetable plant starts in the Puget Sound region.

The May Edible Plant Sale takes place on Sat. and Sun., May 2 and 3, 9 a.m.-3 p.m at Meridian Park (4649 Sunnyside Ave. N, Seattle 98103) and is FREE to attendees.  Get directions. 

At our festive annual gardener gathering, you’ll find an amazing selection of tantalizing veggies to choose from, with heirloom varieties and an extensive selection of culinary herbs, edible flowers and drought tolerant perennials. These plants have been hand-selected by Seattle Tilth’s garden educators, offering the best plants for our Pacific Northwest climate. This sale debuts summer gardening plants aka “warm season” crops like tomatoes, peppers, squash and corn.

Garden to Go

The fastest shopping option is a Garden to Go —  a collection of plants chosen around a theme for your convenience.  You can pre-order one now or get them at our Garden to Go booth outside the sale entrance in Meridian Park. Online sales will begin in March. 

Early Bird Sale: Friday, May 1, 5-7 p.m.

Get first pick of the plants and raise extra funds to support Seattle Tilth’s food, farm and garden programs at the Early Bird Sale! A limited number of tickets are available for $25.

Pick-up a Wristband in the Morning

A staggered entry system allows the maximum number of people to enjoy the sale and keep the entrance flowing smoothly during the busiest times (usually Saturday 9 a.m.-noon and Sunday 9-10 a.m.). Enjoy vendors and activities in the lower field while you wait to enter the sale! Or come after noon on Saturday, and after 10 a.m. on Sunday.

Find delicious food, vendors and activities on the lower field outside the main sale. Pick-up fruit shrubs and trees and Gardens to Go.

At the sale we will accept cash, checks with ID, Visa/Master Card credit cards, and EBT.

Free Plant for Membership

Plants Awaiting

Sign-up for a Seattle Tilth membership (or renew your membership) at the sale and take home a free plant ($5 value) of your choosing. Receive a coupon at the entrance. Find out about benefits of membership.

Transport

Carpool and park in the neighborhood, take the bus (#16, #44) or ride your bike with trailer. Bring wagons, carrying devices and friends (to help carry!). Get directions.

Edible Plant Sale
