In 2013-14, the Center for Strategic Communications (CSC) at Seattle University selected six acclaimed Seattle-area filmmakers to participate in the Film & Family Homelessness Project, named American Refugees. The filmmakers, working with students, staff, and community partners, created four different animated films that told the stories of the thousands of Washington families who are homeless or living in poverty. This project, which was managed by Lindy Boustedt, was supported by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Please join us on Thursday, July 24th, 10:30 a.m. at Nyer Urness House for a screening of these exceptional short animated films, followed by a discussion based on the guide produced by The Center for Strategic Communications at Seattle University.
You can watch a trailer to the film series here.
