Have you ever wondered if any of the seaweeds common to the Pacific Northwest are edible? Indeed they are! Join Melany Vorass on a beach walk during a minus tide and learn about the nutritious, delicious seaweeds that grow right at your feet. Topics include gathering ethics, local rules, identification, safety and general tips on how to cook with seaweeds. Because we will not actually be gathering seaweed, you are not be required to purchase a seaweed harvesting license for this class. Please dress weather appropriate and expect your feet to get wet.
