Help Build Little Free Pantries!

The Project: Building and “hosting” food pantries throughout the Seattle area. The pantries sit in front of homes, community gardens, churches, anywhere a neighborhood is willing to come together to give and take food freely in solidarity.

The Vision: A pantry within walking distance of every person in Seattle, building communities based on mutual aid principles and connecting neighbors through food. Little Free Pantries address immediate and local food needs, working alongside traditional models such as food banks to offer a 24/7 zero-barrier access point to food and help fill the gaps in the system.

The Need: Pantry builders! If you have woodworking or carpentry experience and access to tools and a workshop we would love your help creating beautiful, long lasting pantries. We provide the design, wood and hardware, you provide the sweat. Join our community!
