Beacon Food Forest Free Educational Program

Are you interested in learning more about how to create Food Forests?  The Beacon Food Forest will be offering a free educational program.

Taught by locally active permaculture educators and practitioners, we will help you understand the interconnected systems that make food forests healthy and productive, and provide you with plenty of time to spend with other like-minded people.

There will be three sessions of classroom time to introduce you to forest gardening methods. We will also spend time at the Beacon Food Forest to learn from experience and then you’ll participate as a leader in community work parties. We’re following a Chinese Proverb’s wise words: “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I will learn.”

You must be able to participate in all classes. The dates are:

· Saturday – March 26, from 10am to 3pm
· Saturday – April 30, from 10am to 3pm
· Sunday – May 15, from 10am to 3pm
This educational experience is provided by the Beacon Food Forest with a grant from King Conservation District.
