Introducing the Plus Size Clothing Swap

Clare loves sewing, mending and all things related to sustainable fashion. However as a plus size person, clothing swaps have never been accessible for her. She decided to take matters into her own hands and create her own event !

The teams first event will be 2-4pm, April 19th 2026 @ the Sunset Hill Community Hall (3003 NW 66th St.) Clare hopes to create accessible and body neutral space for people to swap clothing and connect.

If all goes well at their first event, they hope to continue to have this event a few times a year.

They need volunteers to help run the event and redistribute clothing at the end. Interested? Contact clare@sustainableballard.org
