7th Annual Edible Garden Tour – Thank you!

The 7th annual Edible Garden Tour was bigger than ever!

 

 

We thank our community sponsors: Greenwood Hardware, Cascade Compost, Ballard ReUse and Ballard Market for making this possible.

 

Two hundred people donned hats and sunscreen to visit more than twenty gardens on a brilliant sunny day.

Our new feature this year was artwork installed in the gardens.

 

Visitors learned about vegetable gardening, grape vines, fruits and berries galore, plus chickens, goats and bees.

 

 

Thank you to our hosts at West Woodland Elementary where we saw examples of hugelkultur and ground source heating.

 

Raffle prizes were provided by Brimmer & Heeltap, Cascade Compost, Firefly Kitchens, Giddy Up Burgers, Market Street Shoes, Seattle ReCreative, Slate Coffee Roasters, Swansons Nursery, Walt’s Organic Fertilizer.

 

We also thank all the gardeners for sharing their creativity with us.
