Climate Science on Tap Panel: Sea Level Rise – May 31

Come to Hell and High Water: Global Warming and Rising Seas at Peddler Brewing Company, 1514 NW Leary Way, 7:00 pm, Wednesday, May 31st.  Learn more about climate science and policy response to rising sea levels around our region. There will also be helpful information about how you can support the urgent action needed on climate change.  And there may be a climate trivia game with prizes!  It will be fun!hell and high water

Panelists will include:

  • LuAnne Thompson, Director of the UW Program on Climate Change on what the science knows about how global warming will impact sea levels,
  • James Rufo Hill, Seattle Public Utilities climate adaptation specialist, on how the city planning has been addressing sea level rise impacts, and
  • Colin Wahl, Environmental Scientists, Tulalip Tribes, on how sea level rise is expected to impact their natural and cultural resources and the exercise of their treaty rights.
