Climate Science on Tap presents Energy and Climate Policy: Will the world act on climate change fast enough?

Description:  Two years ago nations came together to reach an inspiring, yet long overdue agreement for climate action. Now, climate deniers of the Trump administration control EPA and the federal government, leaving needed action on critical energy and climate policy to states and other nations. Come hear from these outstanding experts on what has been done and the prospects for effective strategies to address global energy needs without reliance on climate-changing fossil fuels. What can Washington State do? What can we each do?

Speakers will include LuAnne Thompson, Ph.D. oceanographer and recent UW Chair, Program on the Climate Change; Nick Touran, Ph.D. Engineer; Reed Schuler, J.D.,  Senior Climate Policy Advisor to Governor Inslee, formerly with the US State Department at the Paris Climate talks and recently back from COP 23 in Bonn.  Enjoy this panel and a lively audience discussion following.

Have dinner at the Cycle Dogs food truck, a beer or cider, and a lively conversation around the tables.
