In 2014, City Fruit harvested over 28,000 lbs of fruit to donate to the emergency feeding network (food banks, meal programs, homeless shelters, etc.). Despite the harvest season finally coming to an end, we want to make next year an even more productive harvest season! What better way to harvest more pounds of fruit than planting more fruit trees along the Burke-Gilman Trail? If you’re down for getting a good workout by digging and planting new fruit trees, then join us for an afternoon of delicious snacks, hot drinks, and everything necessary for a good planting party!

We are in need of many Diggers who will dig and plant the fruit trees and one Transporter with a pick-up truck to haul two Italian plum trees from the Sunnyside Orchard (located up the street on Sunnyside Ave N.) to the new location along the Burke-Gilman Trail.
