Toiletry Drive at Get Plugged Into Ballard – Sept 19

The next Get Plugged Into Ballard (GPIB) event, co-hosted by Sustainable Ballard and Ballard Alliance, is happening on Wednesday, September 19th, 6pm to 8pm at Lucky Envelope Brewing.

For this GPIB we have added a Toiletry Drive. The Ballard Alliance is focused on collecting items that will go directly to people who are homeless in Ballard, to help them get through the winter. These items will be used by Ballard’s Mental Health and Homeless Outreach Case Manager, Paige Killinger (employed by Ballard Alliance and REACH), and will help Paige connect with her homeless clients and guide them to the services they need. Here is a list of specific items requested:

Hand warmers / feet warmers
Protein bars / cereal bars
Tube socks
Hand sanitizer / moist towelettes
Men’s and women’s undergarments
Sleeping bags
Travel size toiletries
Dry shampoo
Lice kits
First aid kits

If you wish to donate, but are unable to attend GPIB on September 19th, you may drop off the items at Uphill Designs, 2821 NW Market St., Suite D, at any Verity Credit Union branch, or at the Solutions (front) Desk at New Seasons Market.
