Sprouts Project Starts Again in February
How we fund this project and how you can help.
In 2020 Ballard Sprouts grew and distributed over 23,000 starts to Seattle gardeners in the Seattle Giving Garden Network. These gardeners donated the produce to food banks around the city. We bought soil, seeds, fertilizer, pots and used electricity. All this took $$$ in addition to Sustainable Ballard volunteers.
This year we are participating in a national Seed Money Challenge to replenish our funds. The challenge runs from Nov 15th – Dec 14th. You can help. Every donation from $1 or $200 is appreciated, and all funds go directly to us, no overhead. PLUS, matching funds go to those projects that have the most donors and meet other challenges.
Here is our campaign page. Donate here and let your friends know, too! You can watch as our funds grow! This money will go into our account at GROW to pay for Ballard Sprouts 2021 expenses.
SGGN operates under a fiscal sponsorship agreement with GROW (formerly P-Patch Trust), a 501(c)(3) non-profit. All donations are tax deductible.
Gardens from all over the country are competing in this Seed Money Challenge. Let’s show up!
