PNA Village Volunteer Recruitment Event – Oct 15

Are you looking for a great volunteer job that gives to someone else and to you? Look no further! The Village, a program of the Phinney Neighborhood Association, helps people stay in their homes when they no longer have the strength or energy to do things like household tasks, tend the garden, drive, shop for groceries or walk their dogs. The Village needs volunteers of all ages to help members stay in their homes and stay involved in their community as they age. You, the volunteer, will chose tasks that interest you and a schedule that suits your needs – this volunteer gig is completely flexible!

On Saturday, October 15, the Village is having a volunteer recruitment event at the Greenwood Senior Center from 3:30– 4:45pm for people who are interested in volunteering and want to know more.

Potential volunteers will have a chance to hear current Village volunteers and staff talk about what it’s like to provide support that helps people age in their own homes and communities and to learn about the many types of volunteer jobs available. There will be time for questions and discussion. Those who attend are also invited to attend, as our guests, the Village fall potluck at 5:00 PM.

Volunteering for the Village will change your life. Please consider learning more by attending this event.

As a long time Village volunteer said, “I so enjoy the people I am getting to know, members and volunteers. It has enriched my life. I plan to keep doing this until I join as a member receiving services and have the joy of volunteers visiting me!”
