Panel on Home Sharing: A new model for our community? – Oct 14
The Phinney Neighborhood Assoc. (PNA) Village invites you to join Gene Balk, the FYI Guy columnist for the Seattle Times, to hear a panel of area organizations that run home sharing programs. Home sharing is when a home provider offers a room to a home seeker in exchange for some form of financial exchange, assistance with household tasks, or just simply for companionship. It is not a typical landlord/tenant situation. Home sharing done right reduces housing expenses, increases security of both the home seeker and the home provider, and helps preserve the sense of community in a neighborhood. For years Seattle Senior Services ran a home sharing program. This meeting is the first step for our community to learn more about the topic. FREE.
