Neighbor Day – May 2
From the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods blog:
The City of Seattle invites everyone to participate in the annual Neighbor Day Celebration. Just like many programs right now, this year’s Neighbor Day on May 2 will look different but remain the same – a celebration of generosity. The city encourages Seattle community members to use this day to connect with neighbors through random acts of kindness while staying six feet apart. Some ideas include:
- Leave cookies on a neighbor’s doorstep
- Pick up groceries for a home-bound neighbor
- Have a conversation while maintaining social distancing
- Share ideas and acts of kindness on social media with hashtag #SeattleTogether
Caring and supporting each other through this time will help bring the Seattle community together.
