Sustainable Ballard is seeking a resourceful, creative, committed, and organized Library Manager to cultivate the Ballard Tool Library as it grows. The Library Manager will oversee the long-term goals and daily operations of the BTL, including but not limited to: handling the budget, fundraising, building and maintaining the collection, outreach, and management of staff and volunteers. This position is funded through March 2018 with the possibility of extension based on Board review and funding. The ideal candidate will have the drive and relevant experience to build the BTL into a stable and innovative organization.
Status: Short-term (five month) contract position with possibility of extension based on review and available funding.
Qualifications: Event & management experience, fundraising experience, familiarity with Tool Libraries, outgoing, adaptable, basic computer skills, communication skills, leadership, enthusiasm for public outreach.
Compensation: $1000/month (approximately 10 hours/week), no benefits
Availability: Hours flexible, must be available some weekends and evenings
Reports to: Sustainable Ballard Board of Directors
