Get free trees for your neighborhood!

Seattle offers two ways to get free trees for your home and neighborhood:

The Seattle reLeaf  Trees for Neighborhoods program provides up to 4 free trees per household, as well as free watering bags, training, care reminders and workshops.  Trees can be planted anywhere on your property.  Applications will be accepted in early August 2013; trees arrive for planting in October and November 2013.  Get more details at http://www.seattle.gov/trees/treesforneighborhoods.htm

Bridging the Gap Tree Planting  Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) plants over 800 street trees per year. SDOT is interested in finding neighborhoods where about 100 trees can be planted within an approximate 4 to 5-square block area. For more information call 206-684-TREE (8733).  Find out more at http://www.seattle.gov/transportation/btg_streettrees.htm
