Weeds: the Good, the Bad and the Edible for P-Patch Gardeners (Live Virtual Class)
Thursday, June 17, 2021 (6:00PM – 8:00PM PDT)
Hosted by Tilth Alliance – Classes @ Zoom
Registration Link: http://seattletilth.nonprofitsoapbox.com/component/events/event/1303
Learn how to identify common weeds in your P-Patch and what to do with them. Many plants that are thought of as weeds can also be a tasty and nutritious addition to your meals.
We’ll discuss which weeds should be composted onsite, which should be taken offsite for composting, and which can be eaten! We will also discuss the general principles of managing pests, weeds and diseases organically.
This virtual class will feature a live, interactive lecture with slide show, a virtual garden tour, and time for questions and answers with the instructor. A detailed outline with recommended resources (and recipes!) will also be provided.
We will be using Zoom for this class, which you can use on your computer or phone.
IMPORTANT NOTE: ONLY register for the class if you’re committed to attending. Otherwise, if you do NOT show up on 6/17/21 promptly by start of class, 6pm, you’ll be taking away an opportunity from another P Patcher. Class will be recorded, and recording link shared afterwards.
