Cold! Wet! The Sustainable Ballard Knitters for Homeless are on it!!
Handknit scarves and hats are WARM – physically and philosophically…
We contributed 64 hats and 17 scarves during October in time for the blustery fall weather. We get good warm feelings, too, seeing our creations while out and about in Ballard. Join us on second Tuesdays at The Hub – and let us know if you have another location you’d like us to try!
Bring knitting needles size 9 or 10 and extra yarn to share if you have some – but don’t buy any because we have a stash!
When we meet: The Hub at 5601 – 22nd NW (enter on NW 56th) on second Tuesdays. Join us anytime between 5:30-8:30 pm.
Who we donate to: Nyer Urness House, Cheryl Chow Court, the Bridge Care Center, and the Ballard Urban Rest Stop.
