City Fruit: Young Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop – Feb 25

Join City Fruit for the 2017 young tree pruning class!

Instructor Ingela Wanerstrand, will talk about the best approach to pruning young trees in the Pacific Northwest for a healthy harvest season.

This workshop will cover:

  • Choosing tools
  • Making the best cuts
  • Shaping the canopy
  • Basic fig “tree” biology
  • Growth response

Gain the skills and confidence to successfully prune your own fruit trees at home!  This workshop incorporates a demonstration and instruction with a chance to practice at the home of one of your City Fruit neighbors. Exact address and location of the class will be emailed to attendees one week prior to the class.
