Art in the Garden – August 3
Art in the Garden is celebrating its 18th year at the Ballard P-Patch Community Garden! Join the fun for a few hours or for the entire day on Saturday, August 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., rain or shine. This is a free family event. The garden is a hidden gem nestled at 8527 – 25th Avenue NW.
This year the P-Patch has an opportunity at Art in the Garden to pitch in and Give the Gnome a Home. Ballard P-Patch must raise $1.8 million to purchase the half acre where the garden is located, or the land will be developed into four single-family residences. Come out and enjoy the artwork, the bountiful garden plots, and the warmth of community—with optimism that we get to do it again next year!
Featuring:
- 16 Artist booths with original work by local artists
- Maritime Pacific beer garden – bratwurst and beer!
- Ice cream truck
- Bake sale (and a distinct possibility of pie)
- Kids’ activities
- Wine-grab fundraiser
- Art raffle
Art in the Garden is the primary fundraiser for the Ballard P-Patch, and supports the Giving Gardens for the Ballard Food Bank, as well as on-going efforts to improve the garden and maintain it for the entire community. Keep up-to-date with artists and the day’s events by visiting the P-Patch online.
