Summer Knitting

In May and June our Sustainable Ballard Knitters have made 38 hats & 5 scarves. This year’s running total is now 184 hand knit items for community members in need. Join us again, Tuesday July 8th!

Our 2nd Tuesday in June meet-up was a beautiful evening to knit. June brought long time knitter/first timer SBK participant Jacob to the table. Yeah gentlemen knitters!! Many suggestions and bits of wisdom were shared to get him kick started on a new hat – go team!

We are fortunate to receive yarn donations from a variety of sources. This mega stash does need to be sorted and gleaned. Many a gem lurk in the bottom of the bag. Yarn ball model Ruth showcases a ball ready for a most ambitious knitter.
