21 Acres: Beat the Winter Blues – Jan 15
Have you ever noticed how certain foods can either make or break your mood? Why is it that some foods just sound better when we’re feeling a little under the weather? Join nutrition expert Joanna Wirkus as she answers these questions through this hands-on culinary experience. When we think of comfort foods we often think of mac n’ cheese, mashed potatoes, creamy pasta, chocolate anything, and ice cream – all of which we think of as unhealthy. However, as you participate in making our evening menu of gingered winter squash soup, massaged kale salad, warm wheat berry salad, and a scrumptious dessert, you’ll learn how components of these foods are perfect for nourishing body, mind, and soul. To conclude the evening we’ll enjoy sharing this light meal over a Q&A discussion.
