Inspired by David Korten’s Agenda for a New Economy, this group focuses on learning about building a New Economy — a local economy that would be more sustainable (less dependent on Wall Street), more just and more in line with the community’s needs. What needs to happen for us to move our investments safely from Wall Street to Main Street? How can the community support local small business? We’ve been looking at new local investment models and collective ownership business models among other elements of this New Economy. We have an action orientation as well.
The group meets about every three weeks. Newcomers are welcome to join any time; contact Orna for more information.
