Tilth Alliance Class: Culinary Herbs in the Garden – June 8

It’s easy to grow a variety of herbs in containers or garden beds for easy harvesting! Come see, feel, smell and taste a variety of herbs that grow well in the Pacific Northwest. You’ll go home with everything you need to know to create or update your own herb garden.
Topics and activities include:
- Identifying annual and perennial herbs and their ideal growing conditions
- Learning which herbs are best harvested fresh
- Ideas for using fresh and dry herbs in the kitchen, including samples to taste
- Planting, harvesting and drying demonstrations
Participants will receive a reference guide for selecting, growing and using herbs, including Tilth Alliance staff favorites, and a plant start or seed packet for your garden.
This class includes an outdoor garden tour. Please dress for the weather.
