Going to Extremes: The future of weather in the Pacific Northwest – Oct 16

How is climate change impacting weather in our region? Will floods and droughts be the new normal? And how will people and wildlife cope?

This Climate Science on Tap panel will examine the relationship between extreme weather events and our changing climate. Three scientists will share the research and their perspectives in riveting presentations and a lively panel discussion of the issue and the impacts to the people and creatures that call the Pacific Northwest home.

Presenting will be three climate experts:

  • Joshua Lawler, Ph.D., UW School of Environmental and Forest Sciences
  • James Rufo-Hill, Climate Adaptation Specialist, Seattle Public Utilities
  • Rachel White, Ph.D., UW Joint Institute for the Study of the Atmosphere and Ocean.

Come enjoy a bite and a beer, meet the climate scientists and join the discussion at your table with new friends.  Free!  In the Screening Room at Naked City Brewery and Tap House, 8564 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle, WA at 7:00 pm Monday, October 16th.
