Sustainable Ballard depends on the generosity of local environmental organizations and green businesses in order to stage the festival every year.

Our sponsors create wonderful educational and interactive exhibits that help you to learn more about their mission and vision and the dedication that these fine organizations have to creating a more sustainable world. No sales are allowed at the Sustainable Ballard Festival, giving attendees and business owners a chance to make lasting personal connections.

The festival marks the kick off of a local fall campaign: Go Solar Seattle Northwest, led by Community Energy Solutions and Sustainable Ballard. The two local non-profits are collaborating to make going solar easy and more affordable, through the power of bulk-purchasing and easy financing options. The campaign will use Sunergy Systems, an experienced solar installer based in Ballard. Participants will get the opportunity to purchase Made in Washington solar panels. This is truly a community building opportunity where people can effectively rein in their electric bills with solar panels built and installed locally. That’s not just good for homeowners and businesses, it helps create local green jobs, strengthens the local economy, while reducing carbon emitting pollution.
