2019 Sustainable Ballard Festival … take some GREEN STEPS on Sept 28!

Sept. 28, 2019 11am-4pm – Ballard Commons Park

Family-friendly, fun, FREE, and full of surprises, the Sustainable Ballard Festival is celebrating its 16th year! This year we are exploring ways to take GREEN STEPS toward more sustainability as individuals and in our community!

Press apple cider, build a bird house, peek under the hood of an electric car, test ride an electric bike, learn about solar for your home, explore several options for organic food delivery, buy a raffle ticket! For the kids: visit the Illumination Learning Studio Booth and make a necklace or decorative hanging using recycled marker and bottle caps; or make newspaper and construction-paper cats. Stop by a food vendor and sample healthy local food, and visit the street stage to enjoy live music.  As always, the fest is FREE to the public and perfect for families!  Built Green is our Festival Sponsor again this year — find out more about why green building is better for the climate, more comfortable, and healthier, and how it strengthens community!

Many of your favorites will be back, plus more new activities and hands-on games than ever before.  Follow a treasure map and learn new ways to lower your carbon footprint.  The Sustainable Ballard Festival is a fantastically fun opportunity to learn together, get inspired, and discover new ways to live more lightly on the earth.
