The Meaningful Movies Project is a non-profit organization that screens free documentaries within Seattle area neighborhoods. The screenings are intended to raise awareness, encourage dialogue and create positive change. Opportunities for discussion follow each screening.
Our first screening is on Sunday, January 31st at 6pm. The screening will be held at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church, 2400 NW 85th St., all are welcome! We are screening “Just Eat It,” the story of a couple’s effort to bring attention to the absurdity of food waste… by pledging to eat only discarded food for six months!
If you are interested in volunteering with Meaningful Movies: Sustainable Ballard, please e-mail John Christensen. Our next meeting for volunteers will be held at Grumpy D’s coffeehouse on 15th Ave NW and NW 70th St on Monday, December 7th at 6pm. We are excited to get more people on board and anyone is welcome to attend.
