Doors open at 6:30 pm for an open house where you can meet Groundswell NW partners, learn about our projects and enjoy delicious refreshments sponsored by Shelter Lounge.  Be sure to arrive early to participate in a free drawing to win fabulous donated gifts, such as gift certificates to Swanson’s Nursery.

Groundswell NW will also present our “Local Heroes” awards, which recognize individuals and groups who have made outstanding contributions to parks and open space in Ballard.

Our guest speakers are Cass Turnbull from PlantAmnesty and David Mizejewski, National Wildlife Federation Naturalist, author and media personality. Conversations with our speakers will inspire you to create your own certified NW Seattle Community Wildlife Habitat.
