City Fruit Celebrates – Nov 9

Tickets are now on sale for City Fruit‘s 7th annual fundraising event: City Fruit Celebrates, featuring a Cider Taste & Harvest Party!  Come and raise your glass to City Fruit’s harvest work, and help them broaden their impact to reach even further within the community.

The event will take place on the evening of November 9th, at Metropolist in SoDo. There will be scrumptious plates from local chefs, hard cider from ten local cideries, as well as a cider pressing on site (with City Fruit apples!), lawn games, and music by Nathaniel Talbot.

Tickets may be purchased online: https://www.cityfruit.org/calendar/city-fruit-celebrates-2017

All funds from the event will support City Fruit’s work to protect Seattle’s fruit tree canopy and build community through sharing fruit. In 2016 the organization harvested 55,000 pounds of fruit, and taught 22 workshops on fruit tree care. This year, for the first time, they officially expanded the harvest to Queen Anne and Magnolia neighborhoods. With your help, City Fruit can reach even farther in 2018!

Drinks will be provided by 10 local cideries:  Alpenfire * Dragon’s Head * Finnriver * Locust * Nashi * Schilling * Seattle Cider * Snowdrift * Tieton * Woodinville Ciderworks

Participating chefs will create small plates highlighting fruit, land, and tradition:
Edouardo Jordan, Salare & JuneBaby
Tarik Abdullah, In the Kitchen
Tom Douglas’ Hot Stove Society
Appetizers by Capitol Cider Restaurant
Sweets by Dahlia Bakery & Full Tilt Ice Cream

All attendees will get to take home a canvas fruit picking bag, filled with gifts from event sponsors. The evening will also include a live auction, photo booth, and donor tree. Order your tickets now:  https://www.cityfruit.org/calendar/city-fruit-celebrates-2017
